What is this?

SoCal is the Southern California Gas citygate — gas at the edge of the southern California grid, not Louisiana Henry Hub. The ICE index tracks the NGI SoCal Citygate price. A demand hub, it often trades at a premium to Louisiana. Far from Gulf pipes, the location decouples from Erath when pipelines, Aliso Canyon storage or cooling demand tighten. This is not SP15 power.

Power generators and utilities hedge Southern California gas here, not the national benchmark.
