What is this?

REX Zone 3 is gas delivered on Rockies Express in the Midwest — from Clarington, Ohio, toward Indiana, Illinois and Missouri — not Henry Hub at Erath. Built to move Rockies gas east, the segment is now bidirectional: Appalachian gas flows west. The ICE index tracks the “REX, Zone 3 delivered” location price. This is not the location spread (hub minus Henry Hub).

Producers and merchants hedge gas delivered on this Midwest header, not the national benchmark.
