Dominion South Point is Appalachian gas on Eastern Gas Transmission — Marcellus and Utica, southwestern Pennsylvania — not Henry Hub at Erath. The ICE index tracks the Inside FERC “Eastern Gas, Appalachia” location price. Local output often exceeds takeaway, so the hub usually trades at a discount to Louisiana.

Appalachian producers and merchants hedge basin gas here, not the national benchmark. The CFTC name “Dominion” is not Dominion Energy stock: the pipeline is Berkshire Hathaway’s.
