Exposure to a rise in Pennsylvania solar certificates (AEC / SREC) — not power, not SP15.
What is this?
A solar AEC is a certificate: one megawatt-hour of photovoltaic generation was produced, not the megawatt-hour itself. In Pennsylvania, distributors and retail suppliers retire them each year under AEPS — a solar carve-out, separate from the rest of Tier I, and in principle from in-state facilities. Credits are issued in the PJM GATS registry; the ICE future delivers eligible solar certificates of the contract vintage.
Obliged parties hedge compliance here, not electricity. This is not SP15.
