What is this?

Houston Ship Channel is a Texas Gulf Coast gas hub — East Texas industry and LNG terminals, not Louisiana Henry Hub. The ICE index tracks the location price published for that point (Inside FERC / bidweek). The gap versus Erath moves with Permian flows, Gulf LNG and industrial demand. This is not Houston crude.

Texas producers, power generators and exporters hedge gas around the Ship Channel, not the national benchmark.
